Spindle Motor Speed

Please note the spindle operating speed:
The spindle motor of an engraving machine is significantly different from that of a milling machine.

For engraving machines:
the higher the spindle speed, the greater the cutting force; the lower the speed, the smaller the cutting force.
If the spindle speed is too low, it may cause spindle stalling or VFD burnout.

Therefore, it is most appropriate to set the spindle speed between 18,000~24,000 RPM based on different materials:

1. For plastic materials such as ABS/PVC/POM/nylon, use a speed of approximately 18,000 RPM.
2. For 6061 aluminum and H59 brass, the speed is approximately 22,000 ~ 24,000 RPM.
2. For acrylic, the speed ranges from about 18,000 to 22,000 RPM.

Additional tests should be conducted for different materials.
